A Mine of Color is a participatory mural art project in the neighborhood of La Mina, in Sant Adrià de Besòs, led by the association El Generador Art i Creació Cultural and the HOP Festival, in collaboration with the Sant Adrià de Besòs City Council. This project aims to transform public space and strengthen the sense of belonging among residents by turning gray facades into vibrant and colorful spaces.
Launched in 2018, the project involved artists such as Zosen and Mina Hamada, who conducted workshops with children from various community centers in the neighborhood, including Casal Infantil La Mina, Centre Obert Pes La Mina, and Casal dels Infants Besòs-La Mina. This initiative resulted in a large-format mural on the party wall of Carrer Estrelles, a piece visible from the Ronda del Litoral and numerous streets in the area.
In 2019, artist and local resident Lorena Eloizaga collaborated with 6th-grade students from Institut Escola La Mina to create a mural in the school courtyard, inspired by nature and organic forms.
