JETA COLLECTIVE - ‘FUNKY TOWN’:

‘Funky Town’ is an urban dance piece built around a utopian city, a space where performers can show all their quirks without the need for external validation, not even their own. A habitat where the genuine prevails over the generic, and where difference becomes a value.

Jeta Collective is an urban dance collective from the city of Barcelona that was created with the desire to produce high-quality audiovisual content and stage pieces with their own identity. The project is characterised by a deep connection with music, without being confined to a specific style, and embraces freedom of movement and personal expression. Jeta believes that attitude, “la jeta”, is essential: without presence, character and truth, you don’t get anywhere.

Direction and choreography: Núria Sáez.
Assistant direction and choreography: Iván Gutiérrez.
Music editing: Eric Pop and Lucía Sáez.
Duration: 10 minutes.

FABULOUS FUNKERS - ‘MICHAEL’:

‘Michael’ is a tribute to one of the company’s main inspirations in the world of dance: Michael Jackson. To do so, they have selected fragments from iconic choreographies and reinterpreted them, maintaining their original essence while transforming and adapting them to the language of the urban dance styles they work with in the company.

Fabulous Funkers is a company directed by Olalla Trabal and Marc Justicia, made up of a new generation of dancers in the process of training and specialising in urban dance styles: popping, locking, hip hop and breaking. The company was created with the aim of researching, experimenting with and developing these styles through freestyle, dance battles, choreography, competitions and stage performances. It is a space where performers can continue to grow artistically and technically, enhancing their creativity and building their own identity as dancers.

Direction: Marc Justicia and Olalla Trabal.
Performers: students from the Fabulous Funkers training programme.
Costume: Olalla Trabal.
Sound design: Marc Justicia.
Duration: 20 minutes.

TOSKA - ‘PUENTES DE LUZ’:

‘Puentes de luz’ is a dance piece that explores the different stages of sleep from an abstract perspective, where movement guides the narrative. Through images that appear and disappear without any apparent logic, it invites us to journey through a constantly transforming dreamlike universe.

Toska is a Barcelona-based company directed and choreographed by Marta Requejo and Jesús Rodríguez. After five years of working together as creators, three years ago they decided to shape their artistic identity.

Direction and choreography: Marta Requejo and Jesús Rodríguez.
Performers: Marta Requejo, Jesús Rodríguez, Minerva Elias, Aleix Fernández and Gonzalo Faundez.
Music composition: excerpts from Short Films by Mamadou.
Duration: 9 minutes.

RUTA DEL 83 - ‘SMILE’:

‘Smile’ is a piece based on impulses that pays tribute to the history of Hip Hop and combines it with contemporary dance. “Steps that skip, with glances that cross and smiles. Many smiles.”

Ruta del 83 is a company that was born and grew up on the outskirts of Barcelona, specifically in Zona Nord. The students are the axis and the path that the company follows. The company itself took shape in 2023, although it had existed in the minds of its founders for much longer. Their aim is to leave an artistic legacy, especially for the young people in the neighbourhood, so that they can use it in the future and make it their own.

Direction: Sheila López and Sara López.
Performance: Ruta del 83 artistic company.
Duration: 8-10 minutes.
