IRON SKULLS CO - ‘FAMULUS 4.0’:

A 6 x 6 metre platform, defined yet infinite at the same time. Four people and a robotic dog. A dialogue between the human and the artificial. A work of autofiction told through movement.

‘Famulus 4.0’ is a performance that explores the fragility of social bonds in an age of hyperconnectivity and automation. It creates a physical and emotional universe where the real and the digital intersect without permission. Inspired by the Latin word famulus (servant) and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the work engages with contemporary discussions around artificial intelligence, the use of technology and emotional relationships in today’s digital era. Rather than providing answers, it raises questions about the impact of technology on a future that is already our present.

Since 2013, Iron Skulls Co has been exploring and pushing the boundaries of movement by hybridising breaking with the performing arts in order to transmit culture. The essence of the company combines the sensitivity of contemporary dance and the strength of urban dance with theatre, breaking the boundaries of movement. Their passion for incorporating elements beyond dance is part of the company's distinctive identity, where visual arts and technology play a fundamental role in the creative process. The company creates artistic universes that explore the past, present and future through stage productions in which innovation becomes a driving force for social and cultural transformation.

CIA INDHHIA & KHAM - ‘SAUZE’:

‘Sauze’ was born from the image of small villages that gradually become empty over time. From the nostalgia, silence and beauty of these landscapes, movement emerges: the connection between two bodies through constant interaction.

Indhhia & Kham is a company born from the urban dance scene. They work through interaction, support and shared weight, exploring how two bodies can become a single organism on stage.

Choreographers and Performers: Jennifer Jaime and Gabriel Camprubí.
Music: Edited excerpts from two compositions by Gustavo Santaolalla: “De Ushuaia a la Quiaca” and “Alma”.
Duration: 11 minutes.

CIA THE CONCEPT - ‘EL PESO DEL ÚLTIMO ABRAZO’:

In that suspended moment when the body has not yet let go but the soul already knows it must leave, ‘El peso del último abrazo’ is born. A physical and visceral duet that journeys through the emotional fracture of farewells: a space where the urgency to move forward coexists with the desire to remain. The performers inhabit a constant interplay of tension, resistance and surrender, where the embrace becomes refuge, anchor and boundary. Blending contemporary dance with urban movement language, the piece explores the emotional weight of making irreversible decisions. An invitation to recognise ourselves in the fragility of goodbye, in the intimate echo that remains when two bodies finally let go.

Founded on 24 September 2017 in Cuba and now based in Barcelona, The Concept is a professional company that explores a distinctive movement language where urban and contemporary dance merge to tell real and universal stories. Directed by Javier Peláez (Tulio) and Miguel Álvarez, the company blurs the boundaries between styles, creating a unique, visceral and highly technical physical language. Made up of four dancers with different backgrounds, The Concept enhances each performer's unique qualities while uniting them under a shared identity that celebrates the collective's physical and emotional expression.

Direction and Choreography: Miguel Álvarez and Javier Peláez (Tulio).
Performers: Glenda Sánchez and Enmanuel Sardiñas.
Music: “Pathos”, Ludovico Einaudi.
Duration: 10 minutes.

CIA FABULOUS FUNKERS - ‘MICHAEL’:

‘Michael’ is a tribute to one of the company's greatest dance inspirations: Michael Jackson. To create the piece, iconic fragments from some of his most memorable choreographies have been reinterpreted, preserving their original essence while transforming them through the urban dance language developed by the company. The result is a performance that connects historical references with a contemporary perspective, highlighting the versatility, musicality and identity of its dancers.

Fabulous Funkers is a company directed by Olalla Trabal and Marc Justicia, made up of a new generation of dancers undergoing training and specialising in urban dance styles such as popping, locking, hip hop and breaking. The company was created to research, experiment with and develop these styles through freestyle, dance battles, choreographic creation, competitions and stage performances. It is a space where performers can continue to grow both artistically and technically, enhancing their creativity while building their own identity as dancers. The company is made up of highly motivated young dancers with talent and ambition, at a key stage in developing both their abilities and their stage presence.

Direction: Marc Justicia and Olalla Trabal.
Performers: Students of the Fabulous Funkers training programme.
Costume Design: Olalla Trabal.
Sound Design: Marc Justicia.
